Laying Your Treasures in Heaven, Not On Earth

by Admin

TEXTS; Luke 12:22-34, Isaiah 45:12

Destroying the anxiety of our earth: When Jesus discovered that his disciples were full of anxiety, he saw the need to conquer anxiety in them. We are in a changing world brought up by situation of things around. The church has the problem of anxiety today but it is expedient to let us know that the lord cares for his people. The lord feeds the ants that have none of the system of men.
The lord cares for his people and he want s them to cast their cares on him. Silver and gold belong to God. If that is so, he is able and ready to unto us in abundance. We must however, run away from the love of money and be more concerned with the treasure we lay up in heaven.
We must be ready to give back unto God out of the abundance he had bestowed upon us.

– We must contribute daily to evangelism and support our leaders whenever they organize programme of such.
– We must not be found wanting in giving tithes and offering.

The heart of man has 5 components, they are:
• feelings
• thought
• desire
• wishes
• decision

This is the emphasis of Jesus Christ: wherever your treasure lies, there will your heart be.
You must support all ministers and leaders in ministry. Giving must be sacrificial. In the bible a reference was made to the generosity of Dorcas such that after death, the community felt her absence. We must be kind and generous towards our church and to every human, doing all that entails laying up our treasure in heaven.
