Pastor Arowoyele Zaccheus (Ass. Registration Chairman)
Basically, as the GOFAMINT convention proceeds in Day 3, an overview of about 33,500 participants graced the annual convention. The convention participants have been said not to turn on a better side to the registration process this year. Before the commencement of the convention, a site has been provided for members to register online on the website www.gofamint.org.
Instead of members to register online they preferred going through the manual process which is not helping the situation at all. This unit laments that they are faced by the following challenges:
- Compulsion of registration
Since members now know that registration has been made compulsory, they are left with no choice than to go through the manual process which is stressful for both the registration official and the members as well.
- No adequate awareness of the online registration
Only a few members are aware about the online registration. Those who are aware of the process even refuse to do it online but prefer it done manually. While the rest of the members who are also aware of the online registration took their time to visit the designated website. Reports came to us that some of the members did theirs a day to the commencement of the convention.
- Pre-registration to be done by assembly pastors:
Some pastors refuse to register their assembly members as advised before the convention. Pastors have been told to register their members before the commencement of the convention so as to enhance fastness and progress in the registration process. The failure of the pastors to register their members brings about more stress for members to register individually.
- Need for more and better laminating machines by the unit
-Plans for next year-
1 The website www.gofamint.org will be opened as from May 2013 in order for members to register online
2 Adequate and well equipped machines for the process
3 It will be mandated for pastors to register their members before the commencement of the programme
Manual registration at the registration centre will not be encouraged; except for those who registered online will be privileged to collect their badge at the centre.
