The General Overseer, the Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT) Pastor (Dr.) Elijah Oludele Abina has called on members to wake up to their responsibilities as this is the key to progress of the spiritual Institution.
He made this call at the 56th anniversary & 47th annual International convention of the church which took off from 6th to 12th August 2012 with theme The Kingdom Church in a Changing World. He stressed that God is not delighted in a lazy and unprofitable Christian.
According to him, “All hands must be on deck. We must all awake from spiritual sleep and doing this, knowing the time, that now (high time to awake out of sleep). Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy but put on the Lord Jesus Christ”, he said.
Abina noted that all must be ready to work for the Lord to make the church grow. He added that members must join hands together for the upliftment of the church so that God can bless them.
“Every one of us should recognize his or herself as a stakeholder in this church meaning that we all have a role to play. Like the patriotic Nehemiah of old, all of us must be ready to demonstrate our love for God and our church by deeds and actions by becoming members of Gofamint Nehemiah Generation. All of our artisans should use their God-given skills to build up the terbanacle in this season of a new era in GOFAMINT”, he said.
“Let all those are financially and sufficiently blessed in GOFAMINT use their God given resources to advance our ministry. It is being put to our youth not to compromise their faith just as the three Hebrews refused to. Our women should also be supportive and active in the New Era”, he said.
Pastor Abina while responding to question urged the members to endeavor to read their bibles, pray always and plan as if the coming of the Lord is many years away but live as if it will happen today.
