Wait on the Lord…WAIT!

Waiting is for those who have Faith

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord. Psalms 27:14

To live a life of blessing, we have to make our words agree with what God says all the time. Not just for a few hours or a few days, but always.

If you’ve ever done that, you know it’s not easy. As time wears on and the circumstances around you appear to be stubbornly determined not to change anytime soon, it becomes increasingly harder to keep believing and speaking God’s word, and it become easier to speak word of discouragement and unbelief, but you have to continue on believing and that’s the key that will unlock the blessings.

Ask any bride and groom and you will confirmation on how difficult the waiting period really is. While you are waiting on God the devil doubled is efforts to get you off track, to get you to doubt or to justify the reason you shouldn’t wait. He will try to tempt you in every way but you have to stay attached to God’s word and believe that God can do anything but fail. He will see you through according to His word. Amen. Friend, it you are facing your waiting period you need to be vigilant, don’t doubt and don’t give up.
Don’t let discouragement keep you from enjoying the life of blessing that God wants to give you right here on this earth.

  • Maybe you are in a job situation that’s really tough to endure and you are waiting and hoping that conditions will change for the better.
  • Maybe you are without a job and waiting for news on an application.
  • Maybe you are in a challenging relationship and waiting on your mate to change
  • Maybe you are waiting to meet your mate
  • Maybe you are waiting for a love one to start taking God seriously

It doesn’t matter what you are waiting for, God is able and willing to do it, all He needs is your faith. The Bible speaks a great deal about waiting

“Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret, it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land.” Psalms 37:7-9

The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. Lamentations” 3:25

“The eyes of all look to Thee, and Thou dost give them their food in due time.” Psalms 145:15

May God give you the grace.

Dedicate His Temple

The Old Testament adds wonderful richness to our faith. In the very first verse of the Bible we read “God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). By reflecting on this wonderful truth we can better understand the words of Jesus that “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

Throughout the Old Testament we see God use common people to accomplish His plan and point the way to Christ. We also learn to appreciate the purpose of a life of absolute reverence for God.

After the Israelites were led out of Egypt, God gave instructions to Moses for constructing the Tabernacle. This was to be the central place of worship and where the presence of God would reside. It was made of cloth, animal skins and poles, so it could be easily moved.

After several hundred years, the people of Israel settled into the Promised Land and God gave King David the vision for a permanent Temple to replace the mobile Tabernacle. David made plans and collected material, but God waited for Solomon to become king before construction began.

It took Solomon seven years to construct the Temple using over 150,000 workers (2 Chronicles 2:1-2). When the Temple was complete, the dedication began. Sacrifices were made to honor and worship God. Music was played and songs were sung “to give praise and thanks to the Lord” (2 Chronicles 5:13).

The grand dedication said that this was to be a place to honor God forevermore! 2 Chronicles 5:13-14″Then the Temple of the Lord was filled with a cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the Temple of God.”The purpose of the Temple was to lead the children of Israel to a closer relationship with God through an understanding of sin, sacrifice, forgiveness and worship.

It was also designed to lead them toward Jesus and provide us with an understanding of who we are in Christ.

One thousand years after the Temple was dedicated, Jesus died on the cross and we entered into a new covenant with a new Temple; “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s Temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16). When we enter into a covenant relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ, we become the Temple of God. He now resides in the heart of every believer.

The Old Testament shows us the great honor and responsibility of being God’s Temple. He resides in us and we must be so filled with the glory of the Lord that we no longer perform “our” service but glorify His name in all we do. Let’s set aside the entirety of our life as a holy place of worship…forevermore! Let’s give praise and thanks to the Lord and begin today to dedicate His Temple.

If you have heard the Gospel and God is speaking to your heart today, then please do not delay. “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I helped thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Respond to God’s call by crying out to the Lord, repenting of your sins, and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.

And please, come just as you are; Jesus will clean up your life as you faithfully seek and follow Him. Jesus says’ “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).

Don’t waste any more time driving aimlessly down the empty, self-serving highway of life, for it leads to destruction. “For what shall profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).

If you would like to receive God’s gracious invitation of salvation, then do so with all of your heart. “And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us” (Acts 15:8). Simply believe the good news of Jesus Christ, then verbally confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and turn away from your sins (repent), and you will be “Born Again” as a child of God. This is the beginning of a New Life.

Take the initial step of faith today and receive God’s free gift of salvation through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Then, demonstrate your faith (James 2:20) by walking in obedience to the Lord and becoming His disciple. “And in that day thou shall say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou was angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comforted me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation” (Isaiah 12:1-3).

Our minutes, hours, days and years are gifts from God. On the day of judgement we will give account for how we used this valuable treasure: whether we used our time for good or ill; whether we used our time for selfish, self-centered purposes or to honour God and serve our fellow man; whether we used our time to build up or to tear down; whether we accomplished something or wasted our time on earth.

You can wait to spend your money, but you cannot wait to spend your time. Time is passing by. Its proper use requires constant attention.

“This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24 RSV).

“Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

“Dear Heavenly Father, You have called me to Yourself in the name of Your dear Son Jesus Christ. I realize that Jesus Christ is the only Way, the Truth, and the Life.

I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner. I believe that Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross, died for my sins, and rose again on the third day. I am truly sorry for the deeds which I have committed against You, and therefore, I am willing to repent (turn away from my sins). Have mercy on me, a sinner. Cleanse me, and forgive me of my sins.

I truly desire to serve You, Lord Jesus. Starting from now, I pray that You would help me to hear Your still small voice. Lord, I desire to be led by Your Holy Spirit so I can faithfully follow You and obey all of Your commandments. I ask You for the strength to love You more than anything else so I won’t fall back into my old ways. I also ask You to bring genuine believers into my life who will encourage me to live for You and help me stay accountable.

Jesus, I am truly grateful for Your grace which has led me to repentance and has saved me from my sins. By the indwelling of Your Holy Spirit, I now have the power to overcome all sin which before so easily entangled me. Lord Jesus, please transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to You alone and not to myself.

Right now I confess Jesus Christ as the Lord of my life. With my heart, I believe that God the Father raised His Son Jesus Christ from the dead. This very moment I acknowledge that Jesus Christ is my Savior and according to His Word, right now I am born again. Thank You Jesus, for coming into my life and hearing my prayer. I ask all of this in the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen”.

A Saviour Died For Our Sins

Sin Brings Death

For the wages of sin is DEATH; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). The Bible teaches that it is our sin that brings death. How then could Christ die? The answer is simple, had Jesus not been murdered by His own people, He would have lived forever. Adam would have lived forever had he not sinned, but he did and death was the ultimate consequence. Jesus was perfect in every way, without sin! Jesus was crucified as a criminal for a crime He did NOT commit. He died for you and me, the righteous for the unrighteous. We all deserve to go straight to Hell for our own wickedness—If you don’t agree, then you have not been at the feet of Jesus.

One day, Jesus will return to take up His Bride (the church). This will happen in the Last Days. We have already seen many signs that assure us that the end times are now upon us.

Salvation is a gift from God that will enable you to spend eternity in Heaven. To receive this gift, you need to accept Christ into your life, repent of your sins and begin living a life that is pleasing to God. If you feel you have done too many bad things for God to forgive you, you are wrong. Whether you are old or young, rich or poor, a liar, a thief, an adulterer, a murder and so on, if you truly repent in your heart and accept Jesus, YOU WILL BE SAVED.

Have You Been Saved?

Dear friend,

A great question faces you as you read this.  It is not have you joined a church, mosque, synagogue, temple or even are you religious. However, the answer to this question will determine where you will spend eternity.  The holy scriptures say, “ is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgement”.  The great question is, have you been born again?

Why is being born again important?

In John 3:5-7 Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again.”

Acts 2:38-39 reads, “And Peter said to them, Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  For the promise is for you and your children, and all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself.”

There are many people trusting in good works.  They often say, “I’m a good person, I treat everyone right”.  Friend, salvation does not come through works.

Ephesians1:8-9 reads, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.”

My friend, you may belong to a religious institution, be an officer or even an active member.  You may be striving to live right and attain a very high moral standard.  Yet, if you have not been born of the water and of the Spirit, you cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:5)

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.

I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.

Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.

Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.

If you just said this prayer and you meant it with all your heart, we believe that you just got saved and are born again.  You may ask, “Now that I am saved, what’s next?”. First of all you need to get into a bible-based church, and study God’s Word. Once you have found a church home, you will want to become water-baptized. By accepting Christ you are baptized in the spirit, but it is through water-baptism that you show your obedience to the Lord. Water baptism is a symbol of your salvation from the dead. You were dead but now you live, for the Lord Jesus Christ has redeemed you for a price! The price was His death on the cross.

May God Bless You!
